Don't worry too much, its successor The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is even much worse on a PS3. Games from The Elder Scrolls series are best played on PC, if one has the possibility to do so. The PC is the only platform that allows player-made modifications and allows to fix or circumvent bugs via console commands.
Yea, I bought a console so I don't have to worry about "gaming" computers, where I live it's very hot and dusty most of the year, in fact, it's about 85 degrees in house 7 months out of the year, so if I really want to game it's hard on a computer, unless I want to spend thousands of dollars on something I will replace in two years! No thanks.
Besides, computer is the office! Here is where I get work down, gaming is out in the living room...
You don't need thousands of dollars, I actually run skyrim in a mid-range pc pretty fine. The thing is knowing what to buy and building it yourself, but, granted, for the uninitiated (and/or uninterested) it can be a chore. It's your choice of course. I personally prefer pc gaming because of mods.
Oh, BTW, it isn't a proper bethesda game if it doesn't bomb out every 2 hours or less. For me the worst of them all in that respect was oblivion's predecessor, Morrowind. Your best buddy is the quicksave button. It's a bethesda thing. We love them anyway
About humidity and dust and etc. that console of yours is still a computer and will be affected as much by the environment. With regular dusting it shouldn't make much of a difference in durability between a pc and the console.
I live in a place that collects dust pretty heavily, and at it's peak in the year I've measured a temperature around 93F. Can't tell you about humidity, but it's a coastal area, so you can imagine.
The tower's air intakes collect some scary dust bunnies, sometimes I think they're sentient ... and yet still it's there, toiling like a champ, now in it's almost 3rd year. (the video card is 5yo)
or if ur playing it pn PS3 i totally understand............ LOL
its great on xbox and uber moddable on pc.
