Opinions

Ever note that with the advent of the "information age" that people are more opinionated and less knowledgeable than ever?

It's something that is of great concern to me - there's nothing worse than a bunch of idiots who think they know everything running amok. Sooner or later the machine is going to careen into a wall and we are all going to get smashed!

Not to mention manners, civility and bedside manner fly out the window, notice how much braver people are online?

True wisdom is knowing you know nothing, Socrates said that.

Socrates was really wise.

Those people are not.

Its the anonymity combined w/ a built-in audience that helps make some people (though not all) act like complete douchebags.

Always open to working w/ adventurous subjects (particularly if you're in Northern NY) who are brave enough to be in front of my camera. Interested? :devart: note me at your leisure & maybe we can figure something out.

You're right, why won't these idiots ever listen to me?!

Exactly! It's happened to me as I get older... it seems the more knowledge I gain in life the less I understand and the less "sure" I am about anything. I don't understand how some people get "more sure". How do you do that?

Hey, I'm a reasonable guy. But I've just experienced some very unreasonable things. (Jack Burton)

Well my friend, in all honesty I find comfort in being less sure. Comfort in knowing I am at the mercy of the universe and it's splendor.

Feeling unsure usually means that I am well steeped in the quest for the truth and that I have been mindful of myself and my arrogance as a human being.

I don't know If I will ever be sure about what is really true or right but I will always be searching for it, and as long as I am swimming in the mysteries of existing I am happy. I have enough respect for the truth to know it is not mine to explain or even understand and so I stand in awe of the small bits of it I do get to witness during my short time here on earth.

As long as I know I am not one of those people that is trying to tell other beings what is or isn't true I am at peace.

Don't know if that makes sense at all but I hope it helps. Let me know your thoughts.

Well, there is that... any idiots in particular?
How is it we have more technology to communicate and nothing to say?
