Not bad. Out of my favorite bands, Led Zeppelin (my #2), AC/DC and Pink Floyd all made the list. Just add Metallica and you'd have my top 4!

This is the list of who has sold the most records... all of these artists have sold 80 million + records not anything else.

I love Fleetwood Mac and Simon and Garfunkel, Aerosmith, and Journey too. They don't make my top 5, but they all made my iPod ;)

kinda surprising to see that U2 didn't make the cut.

They are close... just out of contention, but also they have 10 less years of catalogue than most of these bands.

In the business these bands are called "Evergreens" - meaning that they keep selling high volumes of recordings long after their heyday has come and gone.

Alot of the problem with "hip music" is that it sounds like crap years later. I remember back in the 80's when Rolling Stone was trashing on bands like Journey and promoting fad stuff like Culture Club and Duran Duran. All the attention from so called "music critics" is nice, but in the end they don't determine what music stands the test of time. People who like listening to music do. ;0
