Strange Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone here in the US, enjoy tomorrow and most of all enjoy your families. You never really know how long you will have with them.

My father died this past week... so it's going to be sort of an odd thanksgiving for me.

We all have to face losing parents at one point in our lives... but I guess you are never quite ready for it.

I suppose I am lucky to even have a father, and one that was always there for me - that's not usually the case in this society as of late. He was a good dad and a good friend as well. I am going to really miss him, especially the weekly talks.

I'm sorry for your loss Jeff. I have weekly talks with my dad too and I know they will not go on forever. That time will come when those talks won't happen on the phone and I know I will miss them. My father is one of my biggest supporters. He may not a fan of all I do but he has encouraged me since the age of 14 to create whatever images I care to.

I can't think of a better way to honor the memory of your dad than the way you stated it here!
